Updated with Louks with Nutella*** see bottom of post.
Finally, mobile Greek food has come to the L.A. food truck scene. Louks To Go is based out of the OC and has begun making the rounds here in Los Angeles and surrounding cities. I had only heard of them sometime around holidays because they were doing some special events.
Great food. I had the chicken gyro (yeer-oh not ji-ro) with tzaziki sauce, tomatoes and a few fries (ordered it without onions). Nice seasoning, not to heavy, thinly sliced chicken. The tomatoes tasted good, like tomatoes should.
Also tried the honey feta fries, omg, these were amazing. Takes you to a whole new place. The salty/creaminess of the feta with honey and the crunchy, lightly salted fries, wow. Just incredibly good and satisfying. Can't wait to try the desserts as well.
They said they plan to be here regularly now, so long as they keep hitting the west side or Santa Monica, I know I'll be happy. Definitely check them out. They take Visa as well. That's always a bonus for a food truck.
Follow them on twitter here.

OK, so it didn't take long, grabbed Louks for lunch a couple of days later and tried the Louks with Nutella. The full name is loukamades with nutella, basically Greek style donuts. I can still smell the warm nutella when I look at this shot. These were really good. Fried dough, warm and a little crispy and very light and airy on the inside. Add the warm nutella drizzled over the top and you've got a perfect match. I didn't finish them all and brought them home, even 10 hours later after being in the fridge, they were still pretty damn tasty. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
